***CANCELLED*** Open Meeting Thursday 25 June 2026 With regret the decision has been made to cancel the Open Meeting scheduled for Thursday 25 June 2026. Over the last few days the club has considered a variety of additional measures that could be put in place to host the meeting. Whilst a number of measures were identified (including the provision of shade, additional medical provision and water facilities) it is felt that the extension of the Red Weather Alert until 11pm on Thursday evening is too great a concern for the meeting to go ahead. All competitors will have received a notification from OpenTrack informing them of the cancellation. Thank you to all those who had offered to volunteer tomorrow night, and to all those who assisted in prepping the track this week and organising the meeting. There will be no Worcester AC training night in lieu of the opening meeting at Nunnery Wood track tomorrow night. If the decision has been made to cancel the open meeting then it follows that we should not replace it with a training night. The options to mitigate the risks of the temperatures will not be available for a training night, and if such measures were considered insufficient to mitigate the risks for the open meeting, their absence on a training night means the risk posed by the temperature is even greater.
